Dear Colleagues,

As part of the continual development of NHBC's on-line services, and in direct response to your feedback, we have now added two new areas of functionality to the NHBC extranet, along with a number of performance and navigation improvements.

To facilitate this upgrade the NHBC Extranet will be off-line for a couple of hours from 4pm tonight (30th Oct 2008).

Reports

Within the Collaborative-working screen a new 'Reports' section has been added.

The first report to be added to this area is the 'Technical Conditions Report'. It lists all sites that you currently have access to, with outstanding technical conditions.  It is updated over night and will include all Building Control & Warranty conditions, so this will include conditions set or cleared during inspections from the previous day.

You will have the option to view the report in a web page (HTML) or download it as a PDF or Excel spreadsheet.
 
Partial site access

If you are an Administrator you will now be able to restrict user's access to specific sites.  This is selected at the bottom of the 'Maintain User' screen where you define whether a user should have 'Full' or 'Partial' site access. If 'Partial' is selected then you will be presented with a list of sites, thereby enabling you to define which sites the user should have access to.

If the default of 'Full' is retained then the user will have access to all current and future sites as they appear on the Extranet.

The online manuals available from the login page http://www.nhbc.co.uk/extranet have been updated to reflect the additions to the system.

As way of a general update I am pleased to confirm that the extranet usage continues to grow, with over 380 companies and 1450 individual users now signed up as part of our targeted soft launch.  We are now opening the extranet up to all builders and their professional associates.
